Son of New York cop kills self with dad's gun
The 10 year old son of a New York City police officer died Tuesday after shooting himself with his father's service firearm.
New York Newsday reports that the child was taken off of life support on Tuesday - two days after the shooting. The boy reportedly shot himself while he was playing. Officer Joseph Dunne - the boy's father - will not face criminal charges but is under investigation by the NYPD for failing to properly secure his weapon in accordance with regulations.
