DC cop guilty in rape of sex worker
A transit police officer in Washington DC was found guilty last Tuesday of raping a sex trade worker while in uniform.

The Washington Post says that officer Darren Way was convicted on four counts of second degree sexual abuse over the June incident. Way was accused of showing up to a hotel in uniform where he had sex with a prostitute and then left without paying her. She reported the incident to a police officer at the time but did not file a formal complaint until she was arrested in California 11 days later. The officer who the woman originally reported the crime to appeared as a witness at Way's trial. Last summer Way was charged with the rape of another prostitute but the charge was later dropped. He will be held in custody until his sentencing on July 14th.
