South Carolina school cop charged with sex misconduct
A sheriff's deputy in Hampton County, South Carolina, was charged on Tuesday with sexual misconduct involving a female student at a school where he worked as a school resource officer.

An Associated Press report says that deputy Israel Aiken is accused of attempting to solicit sexual favours from a student while he was on duty. On another occasion he is accused of striking the student when she attempted to leave his office against his wishes. The two incidents took place in March and April of this year.
