Maryland cop arrested for 2nd rape
A Baltimore, Maryland, police officer who was already charged with rape was arrested for a second rape last Friday.
The Baltimore Sun says that officer Jemini Jones turned himself in after being indicted by a grand jury on charges of second degree rape, second degree sex offence and misconduct in office. The incident in this case is alleged to have occurred last October. Police were searching the home of a suspected drug dealer when Jones is accused of telling a woman that he would arrest her unless she agreed to perform a number of sex acts. Jones is accused of raping the woman while two other officers went to get beer to consume while they watched a football game on the woman's television. The officers stayed at the woman's home for 90 minutes after the alleged rape and left after another officer arrived. Jones is free on 75 thousand dollars bail. Jones and two other officers were indicted in January on charges that they raped a woman at a police station.
