Bad Cop, No Donut! - program interruption
Bad Cop, No Donut! is taking an unplanned break from regular production due to an ongoing dispute at CKLN 88.1 FM.
The producer of Bad Cop, No Donut! would like to thank all of the people who have been in contact to express their concern about the future of the show. Also, an apology is owed to all of the stations which currently broadcast the program who may have been adversely affected by this interruption.
Starting as soon as possible, the program will be produced independently of CKLN. CKLN has ordered the producer of Bad Cop, No Donut! not to disclose any information about the current dispute to anyone outside of the management and Board of Directors at CKLN. This gag order will be removed within the month, at which time the matter will be openly discussed. The dispute is not related to financial or political matters.
In the meantime, the move to independent production will create greater financial challenges. Listener support is crucial at this time. If you have considered supporting this program in the past, now would be a good time to do it.
The producer of Bad Cop, No Donut! is fully committed to resuming the production of the program as soon as possible. Several new broadcasters in both Canada and the USA have been in contact to express their desire to broadcast the program in the future and we expect to return with an improved program by the end of this month.
The producer of Bad Cop, No Donut! remains committed to continuing to expose the abuses of people working in law enforcement and also remains committed to the values of progressive community media.
