3 Indiana cops suspended, reason unknown
Three Indiana police officers had their guns and badges taken away on Tuesday but their superiors remain tight-lipped about the reason.

WNDU reports that two off the officers - deputies Andy Taghon and Ryan Huston - work for the St Joseph County sheriff while the third - officer Jamie Buford - is a South Bend city police officer. All have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. The suspensions are reportedly all connected to a single incident which involved all three officers.

I think it's terrible that just because it's shown on the news that these officers are placed on leave, for an investigation, that they are placed on a site like this and labeled "bad cop". What happened to innocent until proven guilty??? Nothing has been said as to what they are suspended for just that there is an investigation, and they are suspeneded with pay so don't hang them before there judged. Even a good cop can make a mistake, they are human.

Tune in this week (June 8, 2006) to hear a lot more about deputy Taghon. Turns out that he has a history of abuse and we will be speaking with one of his prior victims this week.
Statistically, the chances are very good that all three have committed a crime.
They don't usually take the guns and badges away from police officers unless they have done something very bad. They certainly do not do that to good cops. I am surprised at your lack of compassion for the people of South Bend/St Jo's. IMHO, they deserve to have cops who UPHOLD the law instead of breaking it.

If proven guilty of any wrong doing, then they should be punished. I just dont feel they should be convicted before judged, just like with anyone else. I agree totally, that they are hired to uphold the law, and we count on them to do so, I just would like to hear more about what they allegedly did, before I place that label on them. I have read of one history on Taghon about a questionable domestic between a man and woman that was called in by a telemarketer, is that what you are speaking of? I have also heard as of today that Taghon and Houston are being fired for being uncooperative.
I guess I look at the situation in diffrent ways, because I would like to know that the cops protecting me are not crooked cops, and would uphold the law, but I also see it as they are also human, and are not flawless.
I would like to know more? This is something I will follow, as I came about your site by doing some of my own searches into the situation. I am assuming maybe since you brought up abuse you are thinking it is some type of brutality? My thoughts were leading in a diffrent direction, or are you just going with situations where he has mishandled himself in general?
There was no disrespect to your site or you in anyway by my comments, I just know quiet a few of the St. Joseph County Cops, and I have not know any of them to be crooked or unjust, to my knowledge. I really enjoy reading your webpage and listning to your shows, this situation is just close to home I guess you could say.

"Questionable domestic"? There was no "domestic". I know these people personally, and that man would NEVER hit his wife. And I know this because the man and woman are my mother and step father. I grew up with this man. I fully believe their version of events. I was at the hospital after he had his heart attack and saw the bruises inflicted, and the mark of the ring that policeman wore embedded into the flesh of this man. Not all cops are bad, I understand that, but what these specific officers did to my stepfather and mother was WRONG. And as to why they weren't reprimanded for it before, maybe one of the higher level County Brownies has an answer. Not that they would. Protect and Serve (each other)

Innocent until proven guilty or how many times brutality or abuse was in question until he got caught?
Lose your job for not being cooperative...untruthfulness..conduct unbecoming an officer..this does not sound like a good cop to me.

They got ratted out over two years ago, the FBI is involved, this is way beyond a petty "suspension pending investigation". They're failure to cooperate was a beautiful loophole to get them off the payroll. There is so much evidence against them it is unreal. As sad as it is, they are extremely "crooked cops" and made an effort to drag down several people right along with them. Unfortunatly they ended up being at the bottom of the food chain so to speak..a few more heads will roll before this is over. Keep your eye on the news, what is about to transpire will be cinematic...

Taghon (was and) is a pile of dog crap. It's no surprise he became a bully of a cop and did all this. I have had a couple of the local police tell me what was going on... and it involves leaving an informant for dead... it's a big deal.

We live in Southern In, and are currently being harassed by our local people, in retaliation for complaints we have made, these small towns are all infested with corruption and dishonest cops. We have had lugnuts loosened , no help when WE ask for it, and guns blasted off right up by our house and animals. We have suffered injury, loss of sleep, NO privacy, and harassment now, for almost a year, and when we will be forced to defend ourselves, we will be the ones hurt, killed or jailed. Welcome to the Police State of America.,.aka, The New World Order...
