Florida cop fired for on duty sex
A West Palm Beach, Florida, police officer was fired last Friday after an internal investigation into on duty sex.
The Palm Beach Post says that officer Harold Russell was accused by his ex girlfriend of using his police radio to make it appear as though he was on patrol when he was either at her home or at a motel having sex with her. She claimed that they also had sex in her car while he was on the job. He is also accused of taking her to Las Vegas at a time when she was on probation and not allowed to leave the state. She came forward with her claims after her breakup with the married officer. She says that Russell stalked and harassed her after the breakup. On one occasion other police officers freed her after Russell locked her in the back of his squad car in handcuffs. Russell was also accused of lying during an investigation, leaving his department's jurisdiction, failing to obey laws and failing to uphold proper standards of conduct.
