A Baltimore, Maryland, police officer was charged last Wednesday for extorting bribes.

An Associated Press report says that officer Walter Jackson-Hill is charged with two counts of bribery, two counts of extortion by a government employee and two counts of misconduct in office. He is accused of receiving payments of 400 and 750 dollars from a woman whose boyfriend he had previously arrested. In exchange he promised to help her boyfriend.
