Tennessee cop sentenced in corruption scandal
A corrupt Memphis, Tennessee, police officer was sentenced to four and a half years in prison last Wednesday.

WREG reports that officer James Vaughn had pleaded guilty to accepting money in exchange for his security services during a drug deal. Vaughn will not be going to prison until January of 2007 so that he will be able to bond with his child who is due to be born in September. Vaughn was the third Memphis police officer to be sentenced in the scandal. Officer Billy Scott was sentenced to seven years in prison and officer David Tate was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
