Deputy suspended for firing gun in home
A sheriff's deputy in Pinellas County, Florida, has been demoted and suspended for four days for shooting her firearm inside of her house and not reporting that her weapon has been fired.

The St Petersburg Times says that deputy Kathy Hamilton-Scott was accused of firing a gun inside of her home after her husband at the time turned his attention from the argument they were having to a television set. Hamilton Scott was suspended for four days and will be on probation for one year. She has also been demoted from the rank of lieutenant to sergeant. The allegations against the officer came to light during testimony in the couple's divorce.
