Many domestic violence advocates are closely watching what happens in this case. Anyone suspected of covering up information in support of Condon, could be held liable for governmental corruption. This case is a clear example of officer-involved domestic violence. It needs to be treated accordingly, using the guidelines by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. The public and citzens of Merced need to hold an officer-abuser, like Condon McConville at a high standard and ask, "Do we want to condone people like Condon?" As a specialist and victim advocate in this field, and in support of his ex-wife, all agencies will be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof. Officer-involved domestic violence needs to be prosecuted and the protection of officers who commit these acts needs to stop. Citizens in this State will not just stand by and watch injustices transpire.
