New Jersey cop arrested for DUI, marijuana possession
A Deptford, New Jersey, police officer was arrested on Saturday for drunk driving and possession of marijuana.
The Courier Post says that officer Thomas Sexton was taken into custody after driving a truck into a curb and a guardrail before rolling the vehicle. Investigators discovered the marijuana in the truck's glove compartment. He has been suspended from his job without pay and is expected to be fired. He is currently free on his own recognisance. The arrest is another black mark on the record of a small department that recently saw three of its other officers indicted by a grand jury in connection with a videotaped February beating.
